"THAT ~PRECIOUS~ NAME!"

Can we 'live up to'
that ~Precious Name~ of JESUS?
Never in a million years
for our 'sins' are very grievous!
Yet God is ~willing~
to ~give~ us that lovely Name,
~Adopt us~ into His Family
the very ones who brought Him shame!
Has the Spirit of God born witness *
with your spirit, my friend ~
That you are 'His' Child
right to the very End?
Has your 'attitude' begun to change
as you 'surrender' more & more,
Looking 'forward' to each day
& what He has in store?
Crying: "Change me, Lord,
for I cannot on my own,
I 'need' You Holy Spirit
as I kneel before Your Throne!"
Knowing we are helpless
& 'desiring' to serve Christ better,
Helps us to do MORE
than 'READ' God's 'LOVE LETTER'!
(The B-I-B-L-E)
It replaces in our being
that 'stone' we call a heart,
Melts it till it's ~usable~
& 'from God' ~ will not depart!
Sealed till the Day of Redemption
our love grows ever warmer,
Reaching out to others
as the 'latter' & not the 'former'.
The 'former' being cold & heartless
uncaring~ full of deceit,
Full of 'pride' & 'self'
& heading for 'defeat'!
The 'latter' being ~ 'sold out'
to Christ ~ The Great I AM,
Recognizing our worthlessness ~
that we were full of sham!
Now, 'depending' on our Lord
to cleanse us ~ as we submit,
Never turning away from 'the Rod'
& ~NO~ we will not quit!
Pressing ever forward
towards the GOAL of Christ,
'Winning this race we're in
because we've been born ~ twice!
