"BE 'ROOTED' IN GOD!"

{Poem Book 2}
Have you ever seen a 'tree'
grow strong & straight & tall?
Then when a strong wind blew
it began to fall?
Well, take a look at its 'roots'
for they weren't very 'deep',
And when those strong winds blew
it fell into a 'heap'!
So like a 'Christian'
who isn't 'rooted' in God's Word, *
Never growing to 'maturity' nor *
understanding what they've heard. *
Then when those fierce storms come
they fall right to the ground,
Because they don't trust Christ *
& their beliefs aren't very sound! *
We must go 'deep' into His Word *
& drink from the 'Water of Life', *
To help us grow up in our Love for God *
& to help us overcome strife!
God's Love is patient like a Mother's
when we begin to 'walk', *
He even helps us along to learn
to 'run' & also to 'talk'!
But He doesn't expect us to stay
babies forever & lay around & cry,
He wants us to 'practice' doing RIGHT
so our Love for Him won't 'die'! *
Then, when we are 'mature'
we can reach out & teach others,
Our 'fragrance' exuding CHRIST within *
being 'received' or 'rejected'
by brothers!
For some 'rejected' CHRIST *
& His Word that could save their soul,
But, do not become 'discouraged'
just 'yield ALL' to His 'control'.
