“CHRIST’S ‘HUMANITY’!”

{Poem Book 8}
Jesus got ‘thirsty’ *
on a dusty road ~
Because He was ‘Human’
with a ‘fleshly’ load.
He got ‘sleepy’ & slept *
on a boat out at Sea,
Was tossed all around
yet slept very ‘soundly’.
Now His ‘anger’ was showing *
at the ‘Temple’ market,
For they were ‘cheating’ the people
& ‘filling’ their own pockets!
Making money off ‘religion’ ~
all the ‘wrong’ way,
So He drove them out ~
making of them ‘hay’! *
He got weary & tired
& overworked, you see,
Because He was ‘Human’
just like you & me.
EXCEPT He was ‘Divine’
as He is God’s Son,
Who ‘thirsted’ at the Cross *
on which He was ‘hung’!
Because He ‘overcame’
ALL ‘temptations’ snares;
Yet we are ‘reminded’ ~
when we say our prayers! ~
‘Reminded’ that He KNOWS
just how we feel,
When we get tired & weary
& our ‘anger’ is real!
The WORD became ‘Flesh’ *
by Salvation’s Plan, *
And couldn’t be accomplished
by a mere ‘mortal’ man!
It took One Whose ‘Blood’ *
was ‘Pure’ & ‘Clean’,
To ‘erase’ ALL sin from us
when we come & ‘ASK’ Him. *
So ~ ASK ~ my friend
& ‘tell’ Christ how you feel,
He’ll smile & say:
“No big deal! ~
I know you’re made of flesh
& I’ll help you overcome,
And re-direct your ‘anger’
so you won’t succumb.” *
How’s that for ‘help’
along Life’s way?
Knowing ‘JESUS cares’
about your day!
He cared enough to ‘Come’
& find out how we feel,
And then ‘left’ The Holy Spirit *
to teach us to be ‘real’. *
