"A ~SPECIAL~ SERVANT!"

{Poem Book 5}
Samson was a ~special~ servant *
he rescued Israel from the Philistines,
He was to be a 'Nazarite' *
dedicated to God from his first scene.
From his birth until his death
he was not to cut his hair,
He was to drink no wine at all
& he'd remain ~ strong as a bear.
Samson was a 'rebellious' son
wanting his on way, *
But God still used him *
to chase the Philistines away.
He was stronger than a lion *
but didn't use good sense, *
So more rebellion took him over *
yet the Philistines' price was so immense.
Thousands of Philistines died that day *
as Samson vent his rage,
But God was not finished yet
for the Philistines hadn't paid.
Paid for their 'terror'
over Israel as they 'ruled',
God's judgment of them was 'sure'
& He wouldn't be 'fooled'!
There was a girl named Delilah *
& Samson fell in love with her,
She 'nagged' him out of his secret strength *
& the Philistines brought in a bar-ber!
Samson's strength was gone *
& he didn't even know, **
God had left him all alone
now he'd 'reap' what he had sown. *
His love for GOD was 'weak' &
his 'rebellion' very strong,
That's why he 'didn't care'
whenever he did wrong.
Now they put him in prison *
& gouged out both his eyes,
But, oh, for the 'Philitines'
God had a BIG Surprise!
Samson's hair began to grow *
while the Philistines called for a feast, *
And all the while they were 'gloating'
Samson made his 'peace'.
Seeking God to help him *
as he stood between two posts, *
And of all the Philistines who died that day
Samson killed the most. *
Now the ~moral~ of this story is:
live for GOD always,
Do not 'compromise' with sin
& you'll live 'longer' days.
Be a 'chosen' vessel
'obedient' & 'pure',
And God can use you even 'greater'
~ than Samson ~ that's for sure!
Think of the 'possibilities'
had Samson 'obeyed' his call, ***
His love for God so strong
he wouldn't have had to fall.

** Samson's WALK WITH GOD was so weak he
didn't even know when He was gone from him.
*** In Judges 13:5 - it says that Samson would begin
the deliverance of Israel from the hands of the
Philistines. Had he been OBEDIENT to his
calling, I believe he would also have been able
to complete that deliverance of Israel instead
of dying. ~THINK ABOUT IT!~
